About Herring Gold

The rich herring fishery of Norway is one of the main sources of food for the Norwegian people. Whole Earth & Sea Pure Food Herring Gold contains ROMEGA 30™ herring roe extract, sustainably sourced from Norwegian spring-spawning herring. It is rich in the important omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA, as well as choline and astaxanthin. It is also a significant source of DHA and EPA in phospholipid form, which is easier for the body to absorb.

Omega-3s are essential for heart and brain health. DHA and EPA in phospholipid form are particularly important for cognitive function. Choline also plays a role in cognitive performance, as well as liver health. Astaxanthin is a carotenoid, and one of nature’s most powerful antioxidants.

Herring Gold contains more omega-3 phospholipids than krill oil, and is a sustainable alternative to krill. The Norwegian spring-spawning herring fishery has been independently certified by the Marine Stewardship Council, whose mission is to conserve the marine habitat. Herring is classified as a “species of least concern” by the International Union of Conservation of Nature.

Suggested Use

Recommended use: Omega-3 fatty acids, including DHA and EPA, support cognitive health and brain function, as well as cardiovascular health.

Recommended adult dose: 1–2 500 mg softgels daily, or 1–1000 mg softgel as directed by a health care practitioner.
